Local Policy
现金娱乐网注册 is committed to working with our partners at the County and City of Los Angeles and cities throughout the Los Angeles Continuum of Care to advance local policy solutions to address homelessness. 现金娱乐网注册 regularly reports to the County and City with data and policy recommendations at the request of the Board of Supervisors and the Los Angeles City Council. In addition, 现金娱乐网注册 supports other policy solutions that support the work of homeless service providers.
现金娱乐网注册, along with other partners throughout the region, is guided by a set of core strategies to address homelessness. Both the City and County of Los Angeles developed sets of strategies to address homelessness locally.
County of Los Angeles
The County’s set of 51 strategies was approved after an extensive stakeholder process led by the County Homeless Initiative in February 2016. These strategies are here.
These strategies provided the basis for Measure H, a quarter-cent sales tax approved by voters in March 2017 to fund the services outlined in the County’s Approved Strategies to Combat Homelessness. To see the results of Measure H-funded services to date, click here.
City of Los Angeles
In addition, the City of Los Angeles also approved a comprehensive set of strategies to address homelessness in February 2016. These strategies are here.
As a result of the City of Los Angeles’ strategies, the City of Los Angeles proceeded with Proposition HHH, a $1.2 billion bond measure to fund the construction of 10,000 units of supportive housing.
